NIHAD ISLAM CLINCHED THE TITLE
Nihad Islam Hazarika Clinched the title in Sunday Rapid Chess Tournament (13th Edition)

Nihad scored 5.5 points from possible 6 and remain unbeaten throughout the tournament.

Nalinakhya Kashyap got second position by scoring 5 points. Nalinakhya started well by winning first four game and held Nihad Tito draw in fifth round. But draw in the last round against Prakash Nath put paid his title hope. He also remained unbeaten throughout the tournament.

Prakash Nath also remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and scored 5 points. But his draw against Rishav Barman in third round pulled his tie-break score to lower side and got third position.

Jagajit Sinha scored creditable 5 points losing only against top seed Rishav Barman, He was declared fourth on the basis of tie-break score.

Shuvang Pran Kashyap also scored 5 points and declared 5th on the basis of Tie-break score.

Chiranjib Goswami scored 4 points and got first position in Under-15 Category.

Jyon Jyotishman Saikia got second position by scoring 3 points from 6 rounds.

Shivam Dutta scored 4 points and got first position in Under-13 Under-13 category.

Suhan Pati also scored 4 points in under-13 category but got second position on the basis of Tie-break score.

Pratyush Pathak scored 3.5 points and got third position in Under-13 category

Swapnil Kar got first position in Under-11 category by scoring 4 points.

Nibhriti Goswami got second position in Under-11 category and she scored 3 points.

Shaunak Bhowmick also scored 3 points but got third position in Under-11 category on the basis of Tie-break score

Agnij Bora scored 4 points and got first position in Under-9 category.

Hriyan Kaushik Thakuria got second position in Under 9 category by scoring 3 points.

Neehar Das also scored 3 points but he got third position on the basis of Tie-break score.

Dhanyata Goswami scored 3 points and got first position in Under 7category .

Divyansh Deb also scored 3 points but got second position on Tie-break

Praharsh Choudhury got third position in Under 7 category by scoring 2 points
Altogether 41 players including 6 International Fide Rated players. The tournament was conducted in swiss league system for 6 rounds. Top five players were awarded cash prizes and trophy. Senior National Arbiter Pranab Kumar Nath conducted the tournament as Chief Arbiter and he is ably assisted by Kh Jintu Singha as deputy Arbiter
