A strong Four-member Team will participate in MPL 58th Senior National Chess Championship-2022 to be held from 25th February to 3rd March, 2022 at Kanpur Uttar Pradesh and Two Member team will participate in MPL 47th National Women Chess Championship 2022 to be held in KIIT, Bhuvaneswar from same date. The Men’s team is being led by 5 times State Champion Santanu Borpatra Gohain, of Sivasagar District, Rakesh Chakraborty of Jorhat District, Imtiaz Islam Borah of Tinsukia District and Soram Rahul Singh of Cachar District. The Women Team is being led by Susmita Bhowmick of Kamrup and Tanishka Borthakur of Sonitpur.
